To Pay through the nose

To pay through the nose, phrase, 花了冤枉錢, to pay more money for something than it is worth.
Ex.例:She became so mad when she found out she had paid through the nose for a name brand watch that’s a counterfeit (偽造) after all!

No one would be happy about this situation we see above in the example sentence. Yet we all are living under the scheme of lies orchestrated(精心安排) by Satan. The devil wants us to pay a big price for something that has no value, e.g., achieving “success” at the expense of character and integrity; wasting time on acquiring “pleasure” that won’t last but is even downright harmful, such as taking drugs or mingling with promiscuous friends.

Let us not be fooled again, but learn well from Job 15:31, “Let him not deceive himself by trusting what is worthless, for he will get nothing in return.”「
